Le Rossignol philomèle

The Philomel Nightingale is a fan of bushes, dense undergrowth and thickets that allow it to hide. Moreover, we can hear it more easily than we see it, day and night, thanks to its melodious and varied song. This is why it is called « philomel », « who loves singing » in ancient Greek! It is only when it feeds that it pauses; it hunts most often on the ground, invertebrates such as beetles, caterpillars or flies.
