Le Héron Garde-boeuf

The Ox-Heron is a diurnal and gregarious bird that often appears in groups in the fields behind tractors or other machinery.
This wader feeds on insects: grasshoppers, crickets, flies, fish, frogs, small birds, and rodents. Native of Africa, in Kenya and Tanzania, it appeared in France in 1930, then spread widely. Today, its species is protected.
