La Chouette Hulotte

On entend le cri de la chouette hulotte mâle, suivi de celui de la femelle !
We hear the call of the male tawny owl, followed by the female!

The Tawny Owl is an opportunistic predator with a wide food spectrum: earthworms or insects, small mollusks, frogs and birds and mammals up to the size of a jay and squirrel. Prey is located by ear from a well-placed perch. Males and females have different feeding strategies, they do not hunt in the same places, nor the same prey, probably to limit competition between them.
